Fiona's Fight

  • Home and happy!

Mum has been home for a couple of weeks now and is settling well. She's been slowly getting her stitches removed on her leg which has been quite sore for her but she's such a trooper.

Yesterday her and I went out to go to two different doctors appointments she had and managed to fit in lunch and shopping in between. Despite needing a gastric feeding tube only 2 months ago, she's back to eating real food - so we chowed down on her current favourite yesterday - pork dumplings! Shopping was also a success, with mum finding 3 new gorgeous tops to wear. Two of them match her beautiful scarf!

Thank you again to all our wonderful supporters. Between the generous donations you've provided and the practical advice given to us about how best to build the ramp (and the cheapest way to get materials), you've all help to make this so much easier for us and we can't express our gratitude enough.

  • She's coming home!

      1 August 2017

After almost 2 months in hospital (Auckland and Middlemore), Mum should finally be coming home tomorrow! We've just got to hope the weather holds out so they can install the temporary ramp in the morning.
