    Mahe has officially completed his ride from Cape Reinga to Bluff!

    He rolled into Bluff on Thursday 15th January just after 9pm, joined by mates and family — an emotional and unforgettable finish.

    Over 25 days, Mahe rode the length of the country, an incredible journey and achievement for a 14-year-old. We couldn’t be prouder.

    A massive thank you to everyone who donated to support Fiordland Marine Search & Rescue. We are truly blown away by the generosity. This is a vital service for our community and one that isn’t government funded, so every contribution really does make a difference.

    Mahe’s original goal was $7,000 — and he’s well and truly smashed it! Thank you all so much for your support 🙏

    Thanks for all your support for the Fiordland Marine Search & Rescue. This year with amazing community support including this give-a-little page we have been able to fund the following critical things for our team -

    - 2 x new harnesses and cinch straps

    - A replacement airbridge for multiple person rescues

    - Support the training and gear for a new rescue swimmer to join the team

    - Multiple other bits and pieces required to run a professional standard search and rescue operation on a volunteer budget

    Again, thankyou for all your support, it has undoubtably improved our Marine SAR capability for the large area we cover.
