House fire fails to dampen whānau spirits
Kaeo, Northland
On the afternoon of Saturday 9th March 2024, my sister received a devastating phonecall that her house was on fire. The phonecall was from her nephew Diani, my son.
Thankfully, with the quick thinking of my 2 sons, my nephew and our brother who were next door, they managed to get inside the locked house and dampen the flames, after calling Emergency Services.
Nobody was in the house, thank goodness for that!
But the smoke and fire damage is extensive and will require huge renovations and repair.
She is insured, however this will likely be a lengthy process and there are immediate needs that need to be met such as replacing clothing, nappies, food etc 😔
We the whānau have wrapped our arms around our sister and the 5 kids and will be there to support in any way we can.
We are asking for any donations which will go directly towards replacing clothing, whiteware, household goods etc however we do realize times are tough for everyone at the moment! So even just giving this page a re-share would be great fully appreciated!
Alishia is my older sister
Funds raised will go directly towards replacing whiteware, bedding, beds, household goods.
