House fire: Gisborne family home destroyed. Goal to start again & Begin to Rebuild.
Gisborne
Monday evening on 26th October 2020 a tragedy house fire has left our Papa/Dad homeless and our treasured family home in ruins - Destroying almost everything and all his possessions. .
Sadly it was also his 79th birthday and he had to watch his once called home go up in flames.
Our Papa/Dad who was sleeping in his room at the time, was able to get out just in time and we would like to thank those family and neighbours that helped pull him to safety. He is doing okay but understandably will now be feeling the effects of this for a long time. The cause of the fire is currently unknown and under investigation.
It’s been discovered that the home had no insurance.
This page has been set up to show support for the Peneha Whanau with any funds being donated to help them start a rebuild. Donations of food and items are much appreciated but the family has no where to store these at the moment.

On behalf of the Peneha Whanau
All funds will be going into a verified bank account of Martin Peneha (Eldest Son) and used to get a start on re-building a home for our Papa/Dad.
Just a huge heartfelt Thankyou from The Peneha Whanau 2 December 2020
Martin Peneha & the rest of the Peneha Whanau are overwhelmed with the love and support by everyone in the past month. To our donors - Just know the money will be put to the best possible use and so for now we have demolished what was left and placing a relocatable home on the land, we are positive that slowly everything will work out so we will be closing the page in the next day or two but first we would like to go through our donations and Thankyou all individually ❤️
