Nick, Renee and Whanau
Wellington, Kapiti Coast District
First night out in Wellington together and first time out since Ellie Grace was born 5 months ago ended in disaster. After going out with his brother and his wife who were visiting from Northland, Nick was attacked by two males as Renee and himself were leaving to catch a taxi home. He needed to be resuscitated twice on his way to hospital after the incident. Nick had his own business, Coast2Coast Property Services where he would do property work for a reasonable price. He is no longer fighting for his life but it's going to be a long road to recovery and a long time before he will be able to work or even drive again, due to the frequent siezures he's experiencing. Nick is currently in the neurology ward in Wellington Hospital trying to regain control of his body movements. Renee is struggling to pay for travel, extra expenses and just plain living since Nick is unable to earn an income anymore. Please be generous and help them and their 6 kids out. They would genuinely appreciate any donation, no matter how small to help them get by.

Nick is so much better, thank you for your support! 18 January 2023
Hi everyone, I just wanted to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support, koha and kind words. He has stopped having siezures and is pretty much the 'old Nick' again. We were astounded by people's generosity and felt very loved and supported throughout a difficult time. Nick took a lot of pleasure reading the messages and even used some of the advice from others who have also been affected by severe head injuries! Take care of yourselves and don't stay out past midnight. Be like Cinderella and stay safe!
