Help us recoup our funding shortfall and continue our kaupapa of building healthy fit futures for Kiwi families!
Christchurch, Canterbury
Fitclub at the Hub is a small club with a really big heart.
Based at the Phillipstown Community Hub since 2015, we've grown from a small peer-led casual fitness group for mums and their babies, to a seven days per week fitness club offering low- and no-cost group fitness classes, gym facilities and personal training to a diverse low-income community in Christchurch, NZ.
Fitclub has a strong culture of social and family support, forging deep and enduring bonds between members and staff. We believe in a holistic culture of wellness, placing emotional wellbeing and physical fitness on an equal footing. Our classes are 100% child-friendly, which removes a considerable barrier to participation for may of our team. (Not to mention creating enduring friendships for our kids, many of whom are growing up together!)
Fitclub is entirely volunteer-led and a proudly grassroots, bootstraps kind of organization. However, we're facing a funding shortfall for 2021 of approximately NZD$5,000. This relates directly to our overheads, the shared costs of occupying a dedicated space at the Hub. We need your help to make up this shortfall and secure our space in this wonderful facility for 2022, so we can continue to create amazing change for people in our community!
We'd be grateful for your support to help us keep providing low cost and free, high quality fitness opportunities to a community that is otherwise excluded from traditional fitness and gym facilities, due to cost and childcare barriers and so much more.
All funds received will go to the registered bank account of Fitclub at the Hub, and be applied to the outstanding facilities costs for the club. Every donation and share helps! Thank you so much for your support.

All funds raised will be applied to our outstanding faciities costs for 2021. If our goal is exceeded, surplus funds will be used to offset our 2022 facilities costs.
