Five Dollar February

Hello everyone,

My name is Jasmine, I am 18 and I have loved cows since before I could walk. I run a nonprofit sanctuary in North Canterbury, we are home to over 70 rescued cows. I have always found them so peaceful, inquisitive and simply beautiful. There is something about them that is truly mesmerizing, the way they can be put through so much yet they still trust and seek our love. They are so much like us, they feel happiness, sadness, loneliness, fear and love, they make friends, enemies and mourn the loss of their loved ones just like us yet they are one of the most exploited creatures on earth. I want to help all sentient beings by educating minds and changing hearts to create a kinder world for all who inhabits it.

For the price of a hot cup of coffee you can donate towards the many furry residents on going care here at the sanctuary. If we all band together and donate just $5, we could move mountains. Having saved almost 40 bobby calves last year we are in desperate need of help. The money raised will go directly to the cows ongoing care to provide the best possible life for them, this will include buying hay for the upcoming winter, vet fees, and other general costs of running the sanctuary. These funds will also enable us to rescue more beautiful moos in the future.

The cows pictured above are two dairy cows that you saved from death. Last year we ran a huge fundraiser to save 20 dairy cows. Sophie McMoo and Elliot are having a chat in this photo, they were part of this huge rescue mission, made possible because of the support from people like you. We need your help to feed and keep the many placid and gentle cows happy here at the sanctuary.
