Flags drop for Go Slideways

Pete is a dynamic passionate man who has overcome many battles in his life but right now is fighting his biggest, cancer. This year has been huge for both Pete and Nicola, two major surgeries,radiation,biopsies and sadly the cancer hasnt finished with him yet. Over 10 years ago after being diagnosed with Bi Polar and Peripheral Neuropathy to his legs and feet he created his alter ego, Go Slideways. Starting from a passion as a child of speedway,bikes and anything that had wheels and went fast. Since then his love for speedway has dominated his life sharing his photos on Macgors, Facebook, Stuff, The Evening Standard, Dirt Track Magazine, speedway books both here and in the UK. His proudest moments being awarder NZ Best Media Support 2018 and also NZ Speedway Photographer of the year 2018.

Speedway is a family and over the last 10 years Pete has taken 1000's of photos of us racing capturing the action of drivers of all classes throughout the country. He has given his time, energy and passion to the sport we all love, capturing the action where ever he went. Today I am sharing Petes story with you, our speedway family because he and Nicola need our help and support more then ever.
