Flooded with 2 dogs and 3 adults #noahsarknz

Hi there everyone

Here in west Auckland, living next to a creek, woke up to the dogs howling and crying as they pretty much swimming in the back yard. Lucky for the scretching barks we (three adults) woke up or we too either wouldn’t have made it and could god forbid be under water. All of our belongings have been lost. My partners a mechanic from home and lost essientially all of his tools we are very gutted but trying to keep a positive mindset although it’s level 4 COVID lockdown and already having no work now he has no possibility of having his shop up and running coming out of lockdown. My motivation is my partner and his happiness for his work but now I’m questioning a lot and am very depressed due to the level of the situation. My dogs don’t know what to do and we are currently in a caravan but only can stay here for 2 nights. Our rent is already unaffordable with work and income closed feeling like it’s impossible to go on. We didn’t have any insurance as have been struggling so stopped it 6 months ago.
