I will be proudly representing New Zealand as a student by attending this years Global Young Leaders Conference in Washington DC.
Auckland
Hi everyone,
My name is Florence Coffey-Webber and I am a year 13 student at Onewhero Area school. I have been on the leadership team for two years, and have represented my school in, netball, swimming, triathlons, and I have been one of the few hardy students to row for my school up to Maadi cup level. I also row for Mercer Rowing Club and won a team gold in this years North Island Club Championships.
As a Head student this year, I was nominated to attend the 2019 Global Young Leaders Conference in Washington DC, USA next month.
Having my nomination accepted, I am one of 2 High school students representing New Zealand.
While in Washington I will meet students from around the world, and my aim is to share with them everything that is great about New Zealand. I will also be undertaking a photography/art documentary project as part of my year 13 art course. The project will be taking portraits of other students from around the world attending the conference, including a bio written by them.
My goal is to ultimately present this as an exhibition back in New Zealand.
I have been raising funds to attend the conference so any further help would be greatly appreciated.
To any that live close and might have some casual work I could do, please let me know. I am very used to doing most things as I have done many fundraisers and working bees before.
Thank you so much for visiting this page,
Florence
As Florence's Dad I am helping her set up this page as she is not yet 18. While we would be thankful and grateful for any contribution this page is as much a way of sharing Florence's project with a wider set of friends and family.
Any funds I collect here will be included in travel costs and the costs of doing my art/ photography project.
