We need funds to help Fluffybum the cat get an operation.
Auckland
Fluffybum is our beloved pet, who we have had since we rescued him as a kitten. He went missing a few days ago, and after searching and searching we found him eventually underneath our house. His leg has been dislocated somehow, and we cannot afford to pay for the operation :( We would need at least $1000 to remove the leg, but $2500 would allow him to keep it.
As you can see, Fluffybum is a beautiful cat with a cheeky personality. He likes sunbathing and having his arms and tummy scratched - he is part Ragdoll breed so he can lift his arms way over his head! Fluffybum loves strangers and comforts people when they are sad. He is only five years old.
His leg in the right side of the image is the one that is broken - because it is dislocated, it isn't very visible, but we can provide proof through the vets upon request.
We are responsible pet owners and we love animals, but Fluffybum's injury has hit at a particularly difficult time financially so it is very sad that we cannot pay for him to live.
Any help would be hugely appreciated, as otherwise we have to have him euthanized :(
We are Fluffybum's owners.
Update on Fluffybum 27 July 2016
Here he is, post-op, leg in splint, watching TV.
In the end, the vet ended up keeping the leg, so the all-up cost was $2900.
Thank you to everyone who has made donations so far - you have made saving his leg possible for us.
We need to get $600 more together for our vet bill due on Wednesday the 3rd of August.
Fluffybum seems very grateful to be alive and woke up purring from his op! He is being very affectionate and smoochy. He was a hit with the nurses at the vet clinic.
