At Wellington Flying Trapeze, we're passionate about flying and sharing the joy and exhilaration of flying with the Wellington community.

The only year-round flying trapeze rig in New Zealand was taken down in April 2014 because of damage. Wellington Flying Trapeze, in association with Wellington Circus Trust, are raising money to construct a new rig at the Wellington Circus Trust's Newtown Hub so flying trapeze in Wellington can get back in the air.

Once the rig is operating, children's and adult's flying trapeze classes will be offered to the community, and the rig will be available to hire for special events.

All donors will have the opportunity to have a go at flying at our grand opening event, and will go in the draw to win classes with Wellington Circus Trust.

Engineering progress 18 December 2014

We're currently exploring several options engineering options for the rig, which is an exciting but frustrating process. Because we're just coming in to Christmas, nothing is happening all that fast, but we are making progress. :)

We've raised a total of $7,342.46 so far, but we're still going to need more money to make the rig a reality, so if you haven't donated yet, why not take the leap for Christmas?
