    We're currently exploring several options engineering options for the rig, which is an exciting but frustrating process. Because we're just coming in to Christmas, nothing is happening all that fast, but we are making progress. :)

    We've raised a total of $7,342.46 so far, but we're still going to need more money to make the rig a reality, so if you haven't donated yet, why not take the leap for Christmas?

  • Movie night success!

    We ran a fundraising movie night last night, which was a huge success and raised and additional $969.10. So thrilled! Thank you to everyone who contributed to making the night a success, especially Judy, who pulled everything together. :) Izi

  • Major milestone and a movie night

    Our fundraising efforts have reached the $5,000 mark! Thank you so much to everyone who has donated so far. You're wonderful people and we love you. This gives us a base to start talking to engineers.     Thank you so much to all our donors! We love you guys! Our total to date is sitting on $4208.20, which is really close to our initial $5,000 goal. So if you're thinking of donating but haven't done it yet, go on and take the plunge! Flying trapeze is spectacular and awe-inspiring and terrifying and empowering. It's the best!     A huge thank you to all our new donors! Our total is now standing at $3,785 - the $5,000 mark that will pay for the engineer and open up options for grant funding is in sight. Don't forget to tell your friends about our mission. If you're interested in flying, remember all donors will have the chance to have a go at our opening event, or you can sign up on our website (www.wellingtonflyingtrapeze.org) to receive a notification when flying classes are open for booking.

  • We're closer than we look!

    We've set our overall fundraising goal at $25,000, which may seem daunting, but our initial goal is much less intimidating: $5,000. With $3,410 already raised, we're a good proportion of the way there. This $5,000 will be enough to pay an engineer to finalise the design of the rig and provide us with the information we need to apply for community grants. It will also improve our chances of receiving grant funding, because many grants favour causes that have raised some of their own money. I've made a personal commitment to you that Wellington Flying Trapeze will make this rig happen, but exactly when our rig goes up will depend on how fast fundraising progresses. Your contribution makes a difference - it will get us back in the air that much sooner. Thank you for your support, and I'll see you in the air. Izi
