Discovery School's 2022 Readathon

Welcome to the Discovery School 2022 Readathon! Running from Monday 2nd May to Friday 20th May. Three weeks of FABULOUS reading!
The Readathon is about creating and celebrating the love of reading. The fundraiser aims to raise funds for the school to support teachers with classroom resources, sports and learning equipment and support families by contributing to costs of out of classroom activities.
Children will keep a reading log of the books AND minutes they spend reading throughout the 3 weeks, both at home and at school. We recognise readers of all levels, so they can include books / time children are read to as well.
You choose how you'd like to sponsor your child(ren)
- A set amount
- An amount for each book read
- An amount per time spent reading
About us
Discovery School is a public primary school for years 1 - 8 in Whitby Porirua. The school mission; "education for successful living" aims to empower graduates with the tools, experiences and learnings that will support them now and in to their future.
Use of funds
Classroom and learning resources, sports equipment and field trip costs as requested by staff in consultation with the Parent Teacher's Association
