Help me feed the poor during the month of ramadan

Hey guys!

So Ramadan is coming up and for those who don't know what Ramadan is, it is a full month where Muslims all over the world abstain from food, drink, and other physical needs during the daylight hours. As a time to purify the soul, refocus attention on God, and practice self-sacrifice, Ramadan is much more than just not eating and drinking.

It also helps to give me a better picture of how people living in third world countries go through on a daily basis.

Every year I have fasted and I have found it rewarding, but this year is a little different, as I work with people who need my focus and attention, its quite hard to do these things when I have no or little food in my system. So I will be trying my very best to fast the whole month.

Therefore I have decided to make this give a little page as with the help of my lovely friends, I would like to raise with you money to help feed the poor in Afghanistan during the month of Ramadan. There are many families and children living in this harsh environment and cannot afford simple meals. I would like to provide them with a proper meal not just bread and tea which is their usual.

How do I plan passing on your donations to afghanistan?

I will be transferring the money through a system called western union. It is the best way afghani people can receive money

Secondly I have a friend who is a photographer. He's been taking pictures and videos of poor families living in Afghanistan for a few years now. Mostly people he meets in the streets. He takes footage of this and gets a back story of why they are living on the street or why they aren't able to afford the necessity foods. I have come across quite a few families who desperately need help and have managed to help them a little bit throughout the past few months. When I transfer the money, my friend receives it and he will pass it on to the family. He takes photographs for evidence that he has received the money and what the family spend it on which is mostly food. I receive all evidence so I make sure the family gets the money and it is spent on good things.
