Foodie Godmother consists of a number of pantries and gardens that AUTSA have established at AUT to benefit students.

Auckland

Foodie Godmother is a new initiative set up to help nurture AUT students’ bellies and souls. We have an open-door pantry stocked with stuff you may need, like food, menstrual cups and other living essentials. You can find the pantry in the AUTSA Office on AUT’s North, South and City campuses, and its doors are open to any one of our students who needs a bit of lovin’ from their Foodie Godmother!

As your Foodie Godmother, we also know that even miracles take time, and we get that it can be tough to be a student, especially in Auckland. That’s why we hope to turn some pumpkins in your life into sparkling carriages by flicking our wand and turning your empty cupboards into full ones!

We also have community gardens on North and City AUT’s campuses (South coming soon) set up with fresh produce available to any AUT student that needs it. And we hold regular clothes swaps, where you bring some old stuff and swap it for something new (there may even be some glass slippers up for the taking!).

About us

Kia Ora, we’re the Auckland University of Technology Student Association, but you can call us AUTSA. It’s nice to meet you.

So, what exactly does a student association do, you may ask? Well, rather a lot of things actually. We’re a small team of busy people doing our best to make AUT a fun, safe and enjoyable place to be for all students. We run events and activities to give students a break from all that swot, publish a kickass student magazine, offer a range of clubs and societies, represent students interests within the university, offer legal advice when students are in a sticky situation, help them find a job while they're studying and much, much more!

Our vision: To be the best student association in New Zealand.

Our mission: To give a voice to AUT’s diverse student body and bring vibrancy and meaning to life on campus.

Our purpose: “To be the heart of AUT, proudly representing, serving and advocating for all students”.

Use of funds

Your donation will be used to stock our pantries with food, menstrual cups and other living essentials for AUT students. It may also be spent on gardening essentials to keep our veges growing!
