Trying to raise money to further my Football (Soccer) career.
Hawke's Bay
My name is Caleb Marwick, I am 12 years old and I love Football (soccer). My dream is to become a professional Football player and play for my country, New Zealand (All Whites). Over the past three years I have represented Manawatu and Hawkes Bay in the Federation Talent Center program and now I have been selected to represent the Central Region which includes Whanganui, Taranaki, Manawatu, Gisborne and Hawkes Bay. As part of this program I have been given the opportunity to participate in a tournament in Australia. Money is tight for us as dad has returned to education for a year to follow his passion for young children and train to be a primary school teacher. Mum is a home maker looking after me and my 4 siblings. I started refereeing which gives me a little bit of money that I'm trying to save.
I need to raise over $3,000.00 NZ to cover the cost of registration fees, travel expenses, accommodation, Football kit and passport. Any extra money raised I will put towards furthering my Football career.
Progress Report 28 January 2018
I had my first training camp on the 20th and the 21st January. It was great fun and I got to meet all the team members. Our Coaches for Federation Talent Centre are Barry and Terry. One the first day we did 2 drills/ training sessions, with a 9 v 9 game after dinner then we had a recovery pool session. After supper, before bed, we had a team talk before about our 11 aside game against the U16 Feds girls on the next day. The next morning, we got up, had breakfast and then went out to have a photo with the team and then we went back to our areas where we stayed and got ready for our game. The game went well with, a 1 all draw. After that we pretty much went back to our areas and started packing up for us to go home. We had lunch and we also had another team talk before it was time to go home. So we said goodbye to our coaches.
On Wednesday 24th we had a local training session with Leon the manager of Hawkes Bay's Central Football and Aleesha, a central football coach for Hawkes Bay. That was our first training session in our regions and it went well. We start off with some freestyle juggling and went into some drills and then a game. But over all it was a great training session. The weather was just to hot.
