Sadly, Kara passed away suddenly while at work. She was a valued team member and was passionate about her work in bringing Te Reo awareness to her patients and colleagues.

Kara was only 49 and she leaves behind her daughter, Amber, who is due to have her first baby in the new year. Kara was looking forward to being a Nana to enjoying time with her grandchild.

Amber your mom was always so proud of you, and i am so sorry for your loss, and at the same time filled with joy at the news you are having a baby, i want to tell you that your Mom helped me so much at a very low point in my life, once i was discharged from her agency she told me, "thank goodness now we can be friends", and a friend she sure was, she even got close to my mom, coming home will just not be the same. You are in my thoughts and prayers, much love to you and yours. Thank you Kimi for the opportunity to contribute <3
