For the love and sanity of my sister

  • Results in from PET-CT Scan

      8 May 2024

Sonia had her Scan last week and we now have the results.

Thank God she has no sign of Metastatic cancer anywhere else in her body. But it did pick up that she has an ovarian adnexal mass of 2.10cm. This will need to be monitored by ultrasound scan. Pretty sure this is not malignant, but this is what will be causing the lower back pain and hip pain. All her other terrible symptoms are from the toxic drug she has to take for a minimum of 5 years - Tamoxifen.

Sonia is feeling more positive about her future and thanks everyone again for your kind donations and positive thoughts. She is very humbled.

  • Seen Specialist Oncologist

      13 April 2024

Sonia had seen the Specialist and he answered 95% of her questions. The other 5% need to be discussed with surgeon appt on 2 May( after being cancelled in Dec). Highly recommend Dr David Okonji at the Bowen Icon Cancer Centre in Wellington. He did a full examination which is the first since her last surgery. He has given her the referral for the Pet-CT scan, which we are now waiting for that appt. Than you again for everyone’s support and making this all possible 🥰

Sonia will be seeing her GP on Monday and finally getting her referral to a private Oncologist to get further tests done i.e PET-CT scan done.

Hopefully things will progress quickly from then.

Just want to thank everyone for their awesome donations so far. We are well over halfway to our target.
