Raising funds for my brother Voltaire's chemotherapy after colon cancer surgery. Every dollar brings him closer to full recovery. 🙏
Auckland
My brother Voltaire is 42, a husband, father, son, and my only sibling. Warm-hearted doesn't begin to cover it. Wherever he goes, he wins people over simply by being himself.
In December 2025, he began experiencing stomach discomfort and weight loss. What we hoped was minor turned out to be ascending colon adenocarcinoma. On March 26, 2026, he underwent major surgery to remove part of his intestine and affected lymph nodes. He is recovering with a strength that surprises no one who knows him.
But the journey isn't over.
His oncologist has prescribed 8 cycles of adjuvant chemotherapy to ensure the cancer does not return. The total cost is approximately PHP 475,200 (around NZ$14,000), an enormous amount for our family in the Philippines.
I am Sheena, Voltaire's younger sister, writing this from New Zealand, thousands of miles away, but never far in heart and prayer. Raising funds for his treatment is the most I can do from here, and I am pouring everything into it.
Every dollar raised goes directly to his chemotherapy. Nothing else.
He has a son who needs his dad, a wife who needs her husband, parents who need their son, a sister who needs her brother, and countless family and friends who are praying for his healing.
If you believe in giving people a fighting chance, please consider giving a little for Voltaire. Any amount means more than you know.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart. 🙏

Josh and Jordan, thank you so much! 🥹🙏 Your aroha means everything to us. So grateful to have you both. Love you! ❤️
Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. 🙏 Knowing that you have walked your own cancer journey this past year and still chose to show up for my brother really moves me. Your strength and compassion are truly inspiring. We are praying for Makenzie's continued healing and full recovery, just as you are praying for my brother. What a beautiful reminder that even in our own battles, we can still be a light for others. You are that light for us today. God bless you both abundantly. ❤️
Thank you so much for your generous donation. 🙏 It means more than words can express. Every contribution brings my brother Voltaire one step closer to beating this and being fully restored to health. God bless you! ❤️
