In the spirit of love and community, we are humbly asking for any support you can offer to help give yoda a farewell that he deserves.
Hamilton, Waikato
We are reaching out in a time of great sorrow to ask for support for the family of Philip Mitchell, who unexpectedly died this week.
Yoda was a loving partner to Amber who was his best friend and love. Yoda was a dedicated father to his three sons, Joel, Max, and Harry, who were the centre of his world. He also helped raise her two daughters Angel and Lyla from a young age, who loved him dearly as he did them.
Phil’s journey began in Melville, with his three brothers and a sister he adored. With his friends, he spent much of his time hitching rides to Raglan, where the surf was his true passion and his friends were his world.
One thing remained constant – his love for surfing and the ocean.
In recent years, boxing became his true passion. He found a second home at FightFit, where he embraced the boxing community. Yoda, was more than just a member of our gym – A true friend, an inspiration, and an irreplaceable part of our close-knit community. Yoda's presence was one that lifted others up, always encouraging, always giving. His energy, positivity, and dedication to boxing, martial arts, and the people around him were unparalleled.
In the spirit of love and community, we are humbly asking for any support every donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward covering the funeral and related costs.
We understand that times are tough for many, your generosity will make an immeasurable difference to this grieving family.
Thank you for your kindness and support.
Our community at Fightfit could see the love Yoda had for his family. To hear about his loss is heartbreaking and we would like to support his family in any way navigating this time.
During this incredibly difficult time, Phil's family are facing not only the emotional heartbreak of their loss but also the overwhelming financial burden of funeral expenses.
