The Fordell Community Hall is a cherished cornerstone of our community, standing strong since 1926. This historic hall is at a critical juncture, meeting only 15 percent of the new building standard. Almost $200,000 is needed to strengthen and revamp the hall, with the Rural Halls Trust asking the Whanganui District Council for $85,000 towards the $228,214 project. Despite our best efforts, there remains a shortfall. Our committee has dedicated all our savings to this project.
