for Jacks Bristol Scout

$50 of $7,000 goal
Given by 4 generous donors in around 4 months

83 yr old Jack built the Bristol so you can get up close to a WW1 aircraft. We need your help to pay him for the 2,000 hours he put in

Waikato

Jack Godfrey built an amazing replica of the 1914 Bristol Scout, which featured on TVNZ's Seven Sharp twice! It was displayed at the Armistice in Cambridge event in November last year and will be again at the same event this year.

Jack is in his mid 80s and not in the best of health. To reimburse him for the tremendous about of work he put in building the plane - estimated at 2,000+ hours - the Armistice in Cambridge team would like to be able to make him a reasonable payment.

Armistice in Cambridge is a not-for-profit organisation that hosts an annual event to celebrate NZ'd military heritage. Not-for-profit is a good description as the event only runs due to the tremendous generosity of a large number of people.

Please allow us to recognise Jack's incredible work.

The 1914 Bristol Scout flew over the trenches of Gallipoli and there were kiwi pilots among those who flew these machines.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
