Care Bears for kids in need

A few years ago for a school project I decided to give teddy bears to foster children in NZ for something that they can love and call their own. To achieve this I thought about what was most special to me when I was younger and decided on Build-A-Bears. Build-A-Bears come in variety of different colours and themes and each bear will be given to a child with a drawstring carrier bag, an outfit and pyjamas. I have so many special memories with my bears and it was incredible to give the same joy to foster children.

Over the past 2 years I have given bears to local foster children, and been to a number of different schools around Auckland. It was amazing to see the impact these bears had on the kids and it has inspired me to expand my project. I am now aiming to give bears to other kids in need, as well as foster children, because I know that there are so many kids who could benefit from receiving a Build-A-Bear.
