Raising funds to assist Toddy who has discovered she has a rare form of cancer which has metastised to the liver and is inoperable

Christine Todd is a popular and dedicated teacher at Christchurch Boys High School and has been teaching there since 1986.
She is a devoted athletics, cross country, and triathlon coach for CBHS and has a passion for cycling. Chris has represented Canterbury running on the track, road and cross country. Chris took up duathlons in 2009 after a boy said she wouldn't know how to ride a bike. She went on to represent New Zealand at the World Champs the next year, coming fourth in her age group.
In December 2013 Chris started to experience fatigue when training for the duathlon World Champs in Spain. She went to her GP and her blood tests came back abnormal, and was referred to a specialist. It was discovered that she has a gastrointestinal neuroendocrine tumour (NET) which had metastasised with 27 tumours spread throughout her liver. Chris was told she should start on her bucket list.
As Chris majored in Maths and Chemistry (first class honours, top student) she looked further into her diagnosis and found a private treatment in Melbourne, at the Peter MacCullum Cancer Centre. This treatment will enable Chris to increase the length of the time she has to teach, coach and be active.
The cost of this treatment is not covered by the NZ Health System and this is the reason we need to raise money. $50,000 is what is required cover her medical costs.
