I am competing in my first Ironman to support my mother and other sufferers with Dementia in NZ.
Auckland
At the start of March 2026, I will be taking on my first Ironman (Taupo, NZ) to challenge myself physically and mentally while raising funds for Young Onset Dementia Collective (YODC), a cause very close to my heart.
My mum has been diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia as well as Parkinson's, and seeing firsthand the impact that early onset dementia has on individuals and families has motivated me to use this journey to help raise awareness and support. Previously, I completed my first Ironman 70.3 as a fundraiser, and this next step feels like a meaningful way to continue that mission on an even bigger stage.
All money raised will go towards supporting the Young Onset Dementia Collective’s continued work — helping provide resources, advocacy, community support, and greater awareness for people living with young onset dementia and their families.
Every donation, big or small, helps make a real difference, and your support means a lot to my family and me as I take on this challenge.
A son with a brave mum who is dealing with early onset Dementia.
