Every jump matters - Join me on my international pole vault journey from New Zealand to Africa Champs and World Class Opportunities.
Auckland
Hi everyone,
My name is Talaya Vorster, and I’m chasing a dream that began here in New Zealand. I’ve been given the incredible opportunity to represent my people in pole vault at international competitions in Stellenbosch (South Africa), Windhoek (Namibia), and Accra (Ghana).
This tour is more than a series of events - it is a defining moment in my athletic journey. Since discovering this sport at 14, I have dreamed of representing my people on the international stage. The African Championships in Accra are a crucial stepping stone, offering opportunities to qualify for the Commonwealth Games, U20 World Championships, and Junior Olympic Games later this year. Every jump brings me closer to these goals, but I cannot do it alone.
Since 2022, I have worked tirelessly to overcome challenges, achieving:
Personal Best & Namibian National Record: 3.63m
U20 Silver at Senior Nationals (2025)
Auckland College Sport Field Woman of the Year nominee (2025)
Senior NZ Secondary School Champion (2024)
U16 NZ National Champion (2023)
2x Junior NZ Secondary School Champion (2022, 2023)
NZ Schools National Team Colours
International competition comes with significant costs, including flights, accommodation, entry fees, and equipment transport. Every contribution helps me focus on training, recovery, and performing at my best.
Your support isn’t just funding a trip, it’s fueling a dream and helping me clear the bar. Thank you for believing in me and being part of this journey.
With gratitude,
Talaya Vorster
