From New Zealand to the World Stage: Help Sam get to IPF World Powerlifting Championships

This givealittle page was created to help me on the road to IPF Open World Powerlifting Championships in Lithuania.

I have been selected to represent New Zealand on the world stage after earning my spot through recent performances. In 2025, I competed at the Oceania Powerlifting Championships in New Zealand and the Asia Pacific African Championships in Japan, securing podium finishes across both events, along with another podium finish at New Zealand Nationals.

This is an achievement I have worked towards for many years, balancing study, full-time work, and training while steadily building the strength required to compete at the highest level of the sport.

While the opportunity to compete at Worlds is incredible, travelling internationally to compete at this level comes with significant costs. Unlike many sports, athletes in powerlifting, particularly in New Zealand, are required to self-fund almost everything. Your support will help cover essential expenses such as travel, accommodation, entry fees, and costs associated with competing overseas. Your help turns hours of training into a real chance to compete against the best. You help show what commitment and hard work from a small country can look like.
