I walked New Zealand in 81 days days last year, raising funds for Medecins Sans Frontieres and the work they are doing in Ukraine. Thank you so much to all of you who donated and enabled me to complete the journey. You are all champions!
During the walk I spoke with many veterans to find that many of them are struggling due to a lack of recognition for their service and their contribution to our security. I intend to help them.
My new mission involves using my music (singer, songwriter) to raise funds to support our veterans needs through veterans support agencies. I pledge 20% of all profits we make will go to our most needy veterans.
Use of funds
Busking and playing pub gigs won't make enough money to provide the level of support our veterans require. We will use the donations to finance forming a band of veterans called FENYX, produce three indie albums and get our first concert tour on the road.

TIME TO WALK THE TALK AGAIN BUT THIS TIME AS A VETERAN SUPPORTING VETERANS 24 July 2023
Last year I did my best to help 'save the World'. One of the toughest times in my life, but extremely satisfying.
On my journey I learned there are some veterans out there who need extra support.
I have decided they are my mission until I can no longer stand.
I am going to use my original music to help raise funds so we can help support our comrades in need. I am doing this through my FENYX FUND.
Beginning with 20% of any profits we make through busking, gigs, CD sales, concerts, merchandise sales, we will concentrate our efforts to help those veterans and whanau who have found themselves near the bottom of a pit.
We will bring all our resources together to help our mates, one case at a time. A hand up, not a hand out.
I NEED YOUR HELP TO ENABLE THIS TO HAPPEN. PLEASE DONATE IF POSSIBLE AND HELP US TO:
1. Get our first album produced by Christmas this year.
2. Bring together FENYX, the band asap.
3. Get the show on the road and hold our first concert early in 2024.
4. Complete two more albums by Dec 24.
5. Elevate our profit giving to 30% by Jan 25.
