Funding the application for, and promotion of, a CIR to give effect to the TPB Bill Referendum NZ government rejected in April 2025
Nationwide
On 10 April, 2025, The NZ Parliament failed to pass the "Treaty Principles Bill" (TPB) which sought to confirm NZ citizens as equals under NZ law. This was disappointing to many Kiwis. It is the goal of this page to get a NZ Citizens Initiated Referendum running which declares all New Zealanders to be equal under the law, so that "equality" can be more than a cliche in NZ.
Sadly democracy is not free in NZ, and the application fee is $604.10 .
The initial NZD$604.10 is sought to cover the cost of the Citizens Initiated Referendum Application to make a referendum similar to that which was proposed by the Treaty Principles Bill. Any excess funds will go towards promoting the petition.
