Auckland
Bronwyn has been diagnosed with grade four lung cancer, which has spread through her pelvis. She has fractures in her spine as a result of tumor growth along her spinal column. She also has cancer attacking the front and rear of her brain.
She had been living in Rarotonga the past five years, and came home to New Zealand to have some health treatment, which is when the doctors found the cancer. Its rapid spread and growth had lead to multiple spinal fractures and an extreme deterioration in her health. She was diagnosed as Terminal.
She recieved radiotherapy to try and arrest the tumor growth in her spine and brain. After a small recovery period she is now starting a chemotherpy regime. Bronwyn has always been a fighter and she is very staunch in her battle. She understands that these treatments, although very taxing, are to gain her more time to spend with those she loves.
The sudden nature of the diagnosis has caught us all off guard, and we are all trying to spend as much time with her as possible.
We have had to move the entire family back to New Zealand from Rarotonga to be with Bron in this time. We are struggling with accomodation and transport, We are raising funds to support the family during this sudden turn of events, also looking ahead towards funeral costs, which none of us have been prepared for. Any help in this area would be hugely appreciated.
I am Bronwyns partner of 29 years, she is the mother of my children and the holder of my heart.
