Funding the race dream

I am an 18-year-old female from Wanaka, with a passion for bikes! I have grown up with biking all around me from learning to ride my first bike at 3 to watching my Dad race as I was growing up. I never knew where two wheels were going to take me and in about three weeks they are taking me overseas to Europe to race World Cups! For the past three seasons, I have been competing at National levels for Downhill and have come away with some awesome results. So this year I have been working full time at the Wanaka pool as a lifeguard and swim instructing to help get enough money to compete overseas. Instructing with WORD, training, and competing has taken up the rest of my time. This year will be my first year racing Elite so I am going over with no expectations but planning to give it my all and to come away with some valuable experience and have achieved some of my many goals.
