Fundraiser for Auckland Skate Club

Auckland Skate Club began in 2020 via Meetup (app) and over the past 5 years we have grown to have 500+members, with a few volunteer event hosts helping to encourage 50 regular and active members.

The purpose of our club is to encourage as many skate enthusiasts to get out for fresh air, sun, exercising for fun and interacting with others who enjoy the same - for free!

To run events for our club the "Organizer" is required to pay a subscription to Meetup.com, which has been managed personally by me for the past few years. Unfortunately, Meetup has recently doubled the subscription fees for organizers, forcing most groups to charge member dues which in turn will remove members if they are fees are not paid.

We want our members to stay, have free access and join our events whenever they can.

To keep ASC running through Meetup, it now costs about $500 per year for:

6 monthly subscription - USD$99 + tax + transaction fees

and First aid supplies used for members and other accidents we pass by such as scooter falls.

We try to equip our hosts with instant ice packs, plasters, antiseptic cream & antibacterial wipes etc.

If we can raise at least half of this cost by accepting anonymous member donations, this would help to keep our club running. If you wish, you can donate $1-2 per month/event or make a one-payment of $5-10 which should be more than enough and much appreciated!
