Lionati Fotofili, 44, of Timaru, known as Lio to many was reported missing at the mouth of the Ōpihi River, in the early hours of December 30, after he did not return home from a fishing trip the night before. He is the father of two boys – a 14-year-old and 14-month-old, He is the pastor of Timaru’s Church of Tonga, and was fishing for his congregation’s New Year’s Day lunch when he disappeared.

i met Suliana 20 years ago while working in a fish processing plant. when i came to work for Alliance Group i became part of the Smithfield Whanau, where Suliana and Lio also work. The Fotofili family is a part of our family here at Smithfield.
