Fundraising for a family of 5, with a 2 year old heading to starship for open heart surgery

Hi there

I am here to help raise some funds for a Papamoa family close to my heart. A papamoa mother with 4 kids, one who attends my son's daycare which is how I met the mother and rest of the kids. The family, like the rest of us, have had a rough year but all of a sudden, their life has come crashing down around them. Her partner and herself have separated due to personal reasons recently and at the same time, they found out their beautiful 2 year old boy needs open heart surgery ASAP. This has been scheduled for November. This has come as a huge shock as he was a fit, healthy boy with no other health issues or had signs of being sick. The family is in utter shock and disbelief and a gearing up for a long road ahead of them.

To make this time even more stressful, the mother and kids are coming up to the end of their notice at their rental home and have yet to find another home, preferably in Papamoa so she doesn't have to either change the kids schools or travel far everyday. They would love to secure a home to come back to after the starship journey.

The 2 year old boy going in for open heart surgery in November, is the most sweetest little boy you'd ever meet, with a cheeky grin he could make anyone turn their frown upside down :) He needs all the support and help he can get right now, which involves supporting the rest of the family so they can best help and support him :)

At this time, the mother should not be working extra hours at work and working herself into the ground, she needs to be out there finding a rental and preparing her and the kids for the starship surgery and journey. I would love to help take some of the stress of, by raising funds for her that she can use on food, petrol, rent, moving costs and bills etc while she is off work and caring for her 2 year old during his recovery and stay at starship and the other kids. I know work and income will come to the party but we all know they still do not give enough and this family deserves the world. This mother is normally not one to take "hand outs" but in this case she has given me permission to do this, and she has done her fair share of kind acts and paying it forward for others in her local community. Help me, help her son and her family through this horrific time by taking a little bit of the strain off. We would heavily appreciate it and be forever grateful.

All funds will be going to a dedicated bank account, for her son, that she has full access to but has to be in her name due to give a little rules of having a bank account of someone over the age of 18.

Due to the parent's understandable request, no photos or names of the child or family will be used due to personal reasons. I apologise for this and does not make this fundraiser any less real or "legit". Privacy is needed in this situation.
