$1,117 of $2,500 goal
Given by 20 generous donors in 7 weeks

Helping our Guiding sisters affected by the Australian bush fires. Please donate before 29 February 2020.

Nationwide

GirlGuides Australia have set up an Emergency Relief Fund accepting donations specifically to support Australian Guides in and around the impacted communities as well as funding Australian Guiding programs to support their local communities to rebuild.

GirlGuiding NZ want to help our Australian sisters in anyway we can so we have set up this Give A Little page so that kiwi's can easily donate online without you having any international bank transfer fees.

Please read a message from the GirlGuides Australia Chief Commissioner here: www.girlguides.org.au/2019-2020-australian-bushfire-crisis/

On the 29th of February 2020, this page will close and GiveALittle will release funds into GirlGuiding NZ bank account on 20-25 March. When the donation arrives, we will make the bank transfer directly to the GirlGuides Australia Bush Fire Emergency Relief Fund immediately. Screen shots of bank transfers will be posted on this page as soon as the transfer has been made.

Please note that your donation is not to GirlGuiding NZ, 100% of your donation will be transferred to GirlGuides Australia (minus Give A Little fees and international bank transfer fees.) Your donation is not eligible for a tax receipt as money is being donated internationally. GirlGuiding NZ is not financially benefiting by setting up this page.

About us

GirlGuiding NZ empowers girls to take action and change their world. We have set up a GiveALittle page to support GirlGuides Australia who have launched a fund to support Guides in and around the impacted bush fire communities.

Because it is difficult for New Zealanders to make an international bank transfer to support this cause, GirlGuiding NZ’s Funding team have set up a GiveALittle page to collect donations in support of our Australian Guiding sisters, which we will transfer as a lump sum to GirlGuides Australia in February.

Donations transferred to GirlGuides Australia  6 April 2020

Thank you to everyone for donating and/or fundraising for GirlGuides Australia Bush Fire Appeal.

GirlGuiding NZ has now transferred $NZ 1043.90 to GirlGuides Australia on 2 April 2020.

This is the amount we received from GiveALittle as there are processing fees involved from them.

See photos of Papakura Brownies fundraiser night back in February where they organised a special evening to fundraise for the bush fires. Thank you all!

We hope this donation will make a difference to our sisters in Australia.
