Mums on the way to discharge
10 July 2020Update on mumma: the family had a meeting on thursday for mum. The meeting went well and we were told mum is now in the discharge process, however there was some unfortunate news. Because of how mum lost her leg her help is alot more limited compared to someone who would have lost it in an accident. One of the biggest things this affects is mums entitlement to a ramp at the house. At this point we would be needing to go through a community occupational therapist to get "approved" for a ramp and this could take anywhere up to over a year which means mum would be house bound for a year. This could also affect mum getting to hospital appointments and us having to pay for someone to get mum out of the house until such time as mum gets a ramp because if most of you know our house it's not exactly wheelchair friendly. To get this ramp sooner we need to go to a private occupational therapist and then get a quote from a builder. This is the preferred option as being house bound for over year would be a huge hassle for my family. Any contribution towards this would mean alot as this job will not be cheap. Thanks fam 💗💗💗
