Looking to raise $25,000 to help employ and fund an experienced life coach for 2022.
Auckland
I am cycling the length of New Zealand - from Cape Reinga to Bluff (the Tour Aotearoa) - in 26 days, in order to raise funds for Stanhope Road School, Mount Wellington, Auckland. I start my journey on Sunday 27th February 2022.
My goal, with the help of friends, fellow cyclists and the teachers, parents and pupils of Stanhope Road School, is to raise $25,000 to be able to employ Nada for 2022.
From the Principal - Zane Wilson:
Stanhope Road School is a large full primary school (Year 0-8) in Mount Wellington/Ellerslie, with approximately 600 students from 64 nationalities. Our vision is to be "Empowered Friends, Learners, Guardians in all we say and do". Everyone will thrive and succeed in an ever-changing fast moving world.
We are very fortunate to have a dedicated and passionate teaching staff who always put their students at the centre of everything they do and an amazing and supportive community who ensure our students have numerous opportunities to explore and succeed in their learning.
We employ an experienced and wonderful Life Coach - Nada Stadtlander - who works with our students and supports their emotional well-being and gives them strategies to cope in the ever changing world our young people live in.
From the Life Coach - Nada Stadtlander:
I’m a Life Coach to children, young people and adults. I’ve been married to Geoff for 37 years, have two adult daughters, a grand daughter and two dogs that keep me very busy. I have a great passion to draw the “gold” out in people and support them in their journey to be the very best version of themselves.
I spend 5 hours a week with students and sometimes staff at Stanhope Road School offering a listening ear and working together on ideas and strategies to help them work through some of the very difficult personal and emotional challenges they may be facing.
Never before have children and young people been affected by stress the way they are today. On a daily basis, many deal with cyber bullying, feelings of inadequacy, stress from pressures at home, physical or emotional abuse, peer pressure and a general inability to be resilient and overcome their challenges. I like to think that I can make a difference in their lives, bring some hope, and be a “ray of sunshine” for them.
I work one day a week at the school, as their gardener.
To employ and fund a life coach for 2022 for the pupils of Stanhope Road School, Mount Wellington.
