As a cluster - Wellington, Manawatu and Taranaki; We are fundraising to help schools in Cambodia. Help us Help Others!
Wellington
Mr Jim Seumanu and Mr Selwyn Bennett, teachers at our school, are going with a church-group to third-world Cambodia on the 26th September to 7th October as part of a missionary project. The purpose of this amazing project is to help the poor impoverished communities throughout the country, in a wide range of ways- including installing wells, buying students uniforms so that they can start school (a compulsory requirement to begin school), teaching seminars for the teachers, and building projects within the community. Through these numerous projects, they hope to work towards building a better society within these underprivileged communities, helping them becoming self-sustainable. The cost of helping the Cambodian people is high, and these projects are almost completely self-funded by the missionary groups involved. By donating and supporting this amazing unselfish cause, we can contribute towards improving these people’s lives and future.
The Central West cluster of Westmount School (including Manawatu, Taranaki, and Wellington campuses) are holding a fundraising drive to raise funds for this Cambodian cause, and your support will be extremely valued and appreciated! We believe in spreading the good influence we can have as a school and as a community to those in real need. Making a positive impact on the wider world is key to our beliefs! Please join us in brightening these people's lives and giving them what we take so much for granted!
The students at Westmount Wellington recognise that we are fortunate enough to have access to the best of resources and want to do our part to help further our fellow students education. We believe that any amount, big or small, will go a long way in helping to further the education of students in Cambodia.
Westmount Wellington is a school of around 80 students from Years 3-13. We are situated on the outskirts of Wellington, in Johnsonville, on a spacious site overlooking the harbour. As a school we are highly motivated to support charitable causes in every way we can - hence this GiveaLittle page. Rest assured 100% of all donations received will go to the intended charity. Thanks for supporting us in our effort to give something back to the community!
