My name is Denise steers, I am a PhD student at the Wellington,Otago University Medical school and have the opportunity to present some of my research about the experience of young people born with an intersex variation. I have asked one of the participants to co present with me to support young voices being heard.

I have been lucky enough to get university funding to attend the Intersex Social Sciences: Human Rights and Citizenship conference held in Bologna,Italy (June 4-5).

Please help fund Georgia to join me in co-presenting at an international conference.

Our paper is representing the different lived experiences of young people born with an intersex variation here in NZ. The focus of the conference is collaboration between intersex people, advocates and academic researchers. Georgia and I want to reflect that researchers and advocates can work together for change and support human rights, body autonomy and better health outcomes.

This will also be a fantastic opportunity for Georgia to meet and network with many other intersex advocates who are often isolated. Georgia has recently taken on the role of supporting young people through Intersex Youth Aotearoa and co- chair of Intersex Trust Aotearoa/NZ.

Please help fund her travel costs so we can clearly demonstrate the spirit of partnership.
