Please help the clinic raise money to purchase life saving equipment.
Nationwide
Please help raise vital funds for the Pacific Animal Shelter and Hospital (PASH) in Fiji.
The veterinary clinic at PASH desperately needs a blood test machine. This is a lifesaving piece of equipment. It will help vets make a rapid and accurate diagnosis of a disease in a sick animal.
I am a New Zealand veterinarian and about to embark on an adventure across New Zealand. Starting on the 22nd November, I will begin to walk the 3000 km Te Araroa trail, which goes from Cape Reinga to Bluff.
As part of my journey, I will be fundraising for PASH. This year, I spent four weeks there as a volunteer vet and it was an amazing and eye-opening experience. I was able to see first-hand the fantastic job that the veterinary and shelter staff are doing at PASH, but they do really need your help.
PASH is charity-based organisation, so relies heavily on generous donors such as yourself to help keep it running. It provides a vital service to Fiji’s animals as it is one of only four veterinary clinics in the whole of the Fijian islands. Sadly over population and many preventable diseases are very common in the cats and dogs in Fiji. PASH helps provide veterinary care to the local community’s pets, runs desexing, vaccination and parasite control programmes and has a successful adoption service for animals that are living in the shelter.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and to make a donation. Every little bit helps and will make a massive difference to the animals in Fiji.
The money raised will be used to purchase a blood test machine. This is a life saving piece of equipment and will greatly improve the long term outcome of sick animals in the hospital.
Finished!!! 15 April 2023
This update is a little delayed but better late than never as they say! On the 10.04.2023, I arrived in Bluff which marked the end of my long hike. It was an incredible journey to walk the length of New Zealand and I am so grateful to have such a beautiful country to call home. I met some awesome people along the way and saw some spectacular scenery. Thank you so much to everyone for your generous donations to PASH. It will help PASH continue their important task of providing veterinary services and a shelter to the animals in Fiji.
