The Reeve family need your financial support as their nearly 2 year old so battles cancer
Bay of Plenty
Only a week ago Blair and Bex Reeve had their world turned upside down when they took Joseph (Joey) who will be 2 in a couple of months, to a specialist to have a look at his wandering eye. Now he is at Starship Hospital, with a rare form of cancer in his eyes. His right eye is being removed tomorrow (7th July) and he will have ongoing treatment, hopefully his left eye will be saved.
Blair and Bex also have Norah, who is 4, and Bex is due to have their third baby in just a few weeks time. Blair is having to take a significant amount of time off work and the expense of just having to be away from home is already starting to accumulate.
The Reeve family are wonderful and kind, and the first ones to put their hands up to help others. Now they need your help to get through this stressful and heartbreaking time.
Thanks for reading.
It's the least I can do for good friends who are struggling through a difficult time
Finally, an update! 30 October 2016
It has been a long time coming, but finally, an update. Joey did have his right eye removed successfully and has been having ongoing chemotherapy to reduce the tumor in his left eye, in the hope that it won't need to be removed and he will keep his sight. So far the chemo has been having a great effect and his tumor is significantly smaller now than initially!
Joey also had his second birthday just this month and his little brother Hugo is a couple of months old, so their hands really are full!
Please, please continue to donate as the tough times are not over yet, and Joey's next round of chemo is this week. Your donations are appreciated so much!
