Fundraising to Attend the Aspiring Leaders' Forum 2026.
Wellington
Tēnā tātou katoa, ko Kyra-Lynn Barclay tōku ingoa.
I am an 18-year-old VUW Student studying a Bachelor of Politics & Arts, and I am fundraising to attend the Aspiring Leaders' Forum in June 2026.
Throughout my life, my compass has been my family and friends, whom I prioritise and value above all else. They are the pillars of my success, and the ones I turn to when I need guidance. Their confidence in me has defined who I am and the type of leadership that I seek.
The Aspiring Leaders' Forum is a four-day annual event that brings together young leaders from across the motu. "Our hope is that Aspiring Leaders’ Forum will build a bridge from one generation to the next, inspiring and elevating our young people’s expectations of leadership."
What drew me to attend the forum was the lessons and knowledge my mentor gained from it, as she guided me into leadership roles that have shaped who I am and who I have become, and led me to discover the importance of serving my community and local area with pride and gratitude. As someone aspiring to further serve my community through activism and advocacy, hearing from leaders across New Zealand at the Aspiring Leaders' Forum and learning about their experiences will provide the guidance I need for my journey toward that goal.
All funds & donations will be directly used toward the Aspiring Leaders' Forum payment.
Ngā mihi nui, Emily, for your kind generosity toward my fundraiser. I cannot express my upmost gratitude to this gesture, and your support in my journey.
Ngā mihi nui, Danni, for your donation that means so much to me. Your kind generosity will have a huge impact on me, and I hope you stick with me on my journey to reap the benefits of your support. x
Ngā mihi nui, Levi, for the donation and the support you have shown me. With your help in fundraising brings me a huge leap toward my goal, and from the bottom of my heart, I thank you for it.
Ngā mihi nui, Keita, for the donation. It's an honour to be supported by you, as I feel the aroha and the mauri from it.
Ngā mihi nui, Logy Bear. You may think the amount is small, but with love and your intention, it's the show of support which means the world to me. Love you too xx
