Let's show Angel Gabby how much she inspired us by seeing how many Boredom Bag Activity Packs we can fundraise for her birthday 9/3.
Taranaki
On Gabby's last birthday on earth she did over 100 Random Acts of Kindness to kids in hospital while battling bone cancer. For her birthday on the 9th March we want to show her how she has inspired us and see how many $10 Boredom Buster Activity Bags we can create for her to give to kids at the NZ Child Cancer Wards in Starship and also to her local childrens ward and New Plymouth.
So every $10 raised provides a child in hospital with a 'Gabbys Boredom Buster Activity Bag' which include a craft kit, colouring in, felts, playdough and toy. All packs are different as they cover all ages. We have had amazing feedback from patients, patents and staff saying these packs are really helping kids and putting a smile on their face and distracting them from treatment.
Gabby's Starlit HOPE - Is a charity that was started by a 13yr old Gabby Devine. Gabby experienced first hand the harsh treatment required in the battle against cancer. Her vision was to provide random acts of kindness (RAK) to children in hospital especially cancer children and their parents and families. Sadly Gabby passed away in May 2015 yet not before her charity had developed into making a difference to sick children going through their varying challenges in life. Her achievements have led her to win many awards including a National Youth award for giving back and being the Taranaki Daily News Person of the Year in 2016.
100% of funds will be used to purchased 'Gabbys Boredom Buster Activity Bags' for kids in hospital at child cancer wards and her local New Plymouth children's ward.
