Gastric sleeve surgery

I come from a family that have always had weight issues, heart problems and diabetes.

I, personally, have diabetes and a hypothyroid. They don't work together and fighting one contradicts the other. Both of these diseases have affected my job, my home life, the way I parent my children.

I have been doing lots of work with myself, I have been working out, I have a food plan and yet, I still haven't lost any weight and my diabetes is getting worse.

I really want to fight this and after 10+ years of trying the gastric sleeve seems like my best option. In NZ, this same surgery costs more than $25,000. In 2010, 2011 and 2022 my doctor put me forward to have public paid surgery but every time this has been declined.

I get better and then worse and then better, and then worse.

I need to finally take charge and find a way to control my weight permanently.

I couldnt pay for this if I tried (I am trying). I am asking for your help.

Not just for my weight, but also for my job, for my life and for my family.

If I cant raise the full funds here, I will fundraise in my local area/beg my family for loans/garage sales/odd jobs to make up the difference until I am able to have this surgery. This isnt for the faint of heart, my plan just to raise these funds are 12 months in the making and my hope is to have this surgery in June/July of 2025.
