Help put a Sparkle into peoples lives.

Geoff Walker is a well known Wairarapa photographer. In recent years he has been living in northern Uganda with his partner, their twin boys, and her two older children. Lack of income there has led to the family being repatriated to New Zealand by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This is an expensive process, and was made more so by delays in processes which led to further debt being incurred for living costs pending repatriation.
The family has arrived in Masterton to a wonderful response from the Wairarapa community which has supplied essentials for living meanwhile, as the family has arrived with only their clothes and personal effects and without money.
The social security system will kick in via Geoff’s New Zealand Superannuation and add ons like Working For Families and Accommodation Supplement, but life will require very tight budgeting which will leave little if any money over for debt repayment to the New Zealand Government.
For that reason, Friends and supporters of Geoff and the family are setting up this Facebook page to raise money to pay back the cost of repatriation and enable the family to have a good start in New Zealand without significant debt hanging over them. Anything you can contribute will help, and thank you in anticipation!
