Kia Ora Whanau and Friends,
Early this morning our 'papa' / Dad, George Kaka, passed away peacefully while surrounded by his children and loved ones. He lived a long and full life and will be greatly missed by all of us who knew and loved him. As a family we are happy that he no longer has to suffer and that he is finally reunited with his sweet heart, our 'nanny' Nancy.
Our whanau have been overwhelmed by the generosity and the outpour of aroha and condolences from friends near and far, many of whom, have asked how to they can help, So here it is! We've put together this page for all those who would like to give Koha especially whanau overseas... This page will make it easier for you to do so.
George was a devote member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later day saints and served as a labour missionary during his early adulthood, helping to build, what is now known as Temple View. The Kaka Whanau established their roots in Temple View until the passing of Nanny in 1995. George moved to Hawaii soon after where he spent a number of years working for the Polynesian Culture Centre. He was a loving Father and grand father to all his Moko's
