Support for Gerrie's biggest battle

A few weeks ago, our dear friend Gerrie was unexpectedly diagnosed with Liver Cancer; what started as a simple blood test has now turned into the biggest challenge of Gerrie's life, and it has turned his life, and the life of his dear partner, Richard, completely upside down. Gerrie and Richard have been absolute rocks for me in my life, as they have been for many, and they have radiated love and acceptance for so long. As a community, it's now our time to help out in a tangible way.

Gerrie and Richard are down to earth. They're not pussy-footing around the fact that Gerrie will soon pass away, but they're also not too proud to ask for a hand when it's needed, and that's what they've tasked me with - can we please get behind Gerrie and Richard and help with the unexpected costs associated with this sudden, and cruel change in life plans. Neither Gerrie nor Richard are wealthy, and meeting the costs of a funeral will be a huge challenge, without your help. Every little bit counts.

I will be providing regular updates on Gerrie's progress as more details become clear, however, both Gerrie and Richard have respectfully asked that we support them in this way, so that they can have the space to make the most of what time Gerrie has left.
