Some trash-fire of a human being stole Amberly's e-scooter and she could use a little help from us to get her back on a roll!
Newtown, Wellington
Ok folks, I have gathered you here in support of the wonderful, quirky soul that is Amberly Middlemiss. As many of you know, Amberly has MS, which makes life more difficult for her than it should be. Especially in terms of energy levels and getting around. She got an e-scooter last year, which, as these things do, made her life a lot easier, right up until someone stole it.
That obviously seriously sucks and especially for a student who isn't in a position to buy herself a new one. But I know that Amberly has plenty of friends and family about and thought we could band together to help her get back on her wheels.
I do know that many of her friends are students too, so no worries if you can't chip in much, it'll all add up and be very much appreciated. No worries at all if you can't chip in though, life is pricey at the moment for everyone.
I have had a bit of a look and there seem to be some options sitting around the $900 mark and I thought moving the goal up to $1100 could mean that she could also afford a good quality lock, and not have to be super stressed any time she has to leave it outside.
Your donation will be used to buy Amberly a new e-scooter and hopefully an exceptional lock for that scooter. If we don't hit the target, I shall pass on what we have raised to put towards an e- scooter which still makes her life easier.
We did it! 1 May 2023
It has been a beautiful thing these last few weeks to see the steady stream of generosity coming in from all you lovely folks. Together we have raised $1k for Amberly to get herself a new e-scooter and hopefully enough left over to go towards a very good lock! I know how much of a difference it will make in her life and how touched she will be that you all rallied together to support her ❤ So on behalf of Amberly thanks to each and every one of you, you did a real good thing.
