Bailey had a very successful National Age Group Champs. He medalled in 7 out of his 8 races with some great PBs to boot. He is recovering this week and then he is off to Auckland for a Para Swimming Camp in preparation for France. We still need $$1430 to reach the $5000 mark and about 6 weeks left to achieve this. Bailey is in a rebuilding phase and working hard on breaking down and rebuilding his freestyle and breaststroke. He had great swims and a personal best time in his 100m Freestyle. The highlight of NZ Opens was helping his Virtus A 100m Medley Relay Team win silver racing against the NZ Para Team and Virtus B Team. Loads of learning and lots of growth in dealing with disappointment and setting realistic expectations. Super proud as always of this young man and a huge thank you to Henk Greupink, Bailey's coach for everything he has done for my lad.
Bailey trains at the gym on a Monday and does boxing on a Wednesday. All part of his training as the Global Games inch that much closer. We still have a way to go folks so please share Bailey's page and if you can please support him. Every little bit helps. Thank you.
A big thank you to Head Coach Sheldon Kemp from Pukekohe Swimming Club for having Bailey for a training session on Saturday. Two big comps coming up in April, NZ Opens and NAGs. Lots of training still to do before France.

Bailey wants to thank the incredibly generous folk who have donated towards getting him to France. He has received two scholarships - one from The Adastra Foundation for $2000. Thanks to the generous support of funders – Brian Perry Charitable Trust, TECT (Tauranga Energy Consumer Trust), The Lion Foundation, Craigs Investment Partners and Grassroots Trust. Bailey also received a Bay Trust Athlete Scholarship for $500. He has raised $3340.00 towards his $8500.00 goal.
